Painting...PINK!

Austin and Daddy painted the nursery yesterday a very pink shade of pink!! Michael and I are very excited to be having a girl and both of us agree that after 5 years of boy colors we are ready to girl it up.
Our plan for the room is pink walls, obviously, and we are using wall art to decorate. I found pretty brown flowers that will go along one wall and we are also using tree branches that will come off her window to create the illusion of nature inside her room. Abover her crib will be the words, "Always kiss me goodnight."

Grandma and Grandpa Watkins are just as excited as mommy and daddy and bought her a new crib and changing table that daddy and Austin put together.

He is certainly not a baby anymore...but to me, he always will be my baby boy!

Thanksgiving...back at the Beach!

Aunt Heidi and Aunt Liz wanted to head to the beach this Thanksgiving...so we went. This time, unlike last week with my mom, I made sure Austin stayed dry. It was only 66 degrees this past Friday so Aunt Liz and I stayed out of the water, but Austin and Aunt Heidi had a blast.

Posing for Aunt Heidi

Aunt Heidi and Aunt Liz came down to spend Thanksgiving with us and while they were here Aunt Heidi snapped some random pics of Austin...He is a camera ham!

Grandmas' Visit at the Zoo

The Zoo was great frun. We were lucky enough to meet a volunteer who was very knowledgable about the animals. We learned that elephants really aren't affraid of mice, they are just careful not to unnecessarily hurt other creatures.
We learned that Giraffes in captivity create habits unlike those in the wild. For instance this Griaffe licks objects reapeatedly.

Grandmas' Visit

We stopped by the ocean while Grammie was here, cause that is one of her favorite places to go when she visits. It statred off as a "lets get our feet wet" to Austin completely soaked. A man walking along the beach grinned at Austin and said to me and my mom..."you know he planned that." I had to buy Austin all new clothes, cause mom of the year, me, didn't forsee that coming!!

Field Trip to the Farm

Austin's class went to Dearden Farms for his first class field trip this year. Unfortunately they had to go after Halloween because we had rain the day they were supposed to go, but Austin still proudly displayed his pumpkin on the porch.
