So it is ridiculously hot here and I decided to google "fun things to do in the hot summer" and this idea came up. It is called The Blob and it is basically a 25' x 10' plastic sheet (from the hardware store) folded in half seemed with duct tape. We closed up everything besides a tiny hole to fit the hose and filled it for 30 minutes with water and blue and green food coloring then taped the hole shut. I filled this thing for thirty minutes with a hose that puts our 5 gallons per minute...yes that is right, this thing is holding 150 gallons of water with just duct tape...miraculous I know, but true. Anyway the kids are having great fun with it and it is standing the test of time and roughness.
